Hold your head high. Treat others with care and respect. And the dignity of your days will come shining through. There is a magic in dignity. Human dignity, respect and the joy that it engenders.

Dignity we hold precious. It is a measure of ‘respect’ – whether it is our own personal dignity – the way we respect ourselves; or whether it is the dignity and respect we have for others. It forms the essential foundation for how we treat ourselves and others. I love how the great Jackie Robinson captures this thought:

We embrace dignity due to our belief in the sanctity of the human spirit. There is something divine in each and every one of us. It is this ‘spirit’ that we must revere. And when we do so, we are celebrating dignity. With much gratitude through this Holiday Season!
